Cure Kids Cancer 5K Postponed Due to Low Signups

Madison 5K and walk will be held Oct. 14 at Giralda Farms.

The Make Some Noise: Cure Kids Cancer Foundation's 5K Walk/Run has been postponed from Sept. 15 to Oct. 14 due to low attendance.

The event to raise money for the child cancer foundation will still have all of the same details, with the 100K cycling ride starting at 8 a.m., walk at 10 a.m., and 5K run at 10:30 a.m. at Giralda Farms in Madison.

A picnic lunch and live band is included in the registration fee of $10. Participants who raise a minimum of $100 in sponshorships will receive a gold cape to wear.

According to the 5K website, the event's goal is to raise $15,000 and have already raised $3,599 from the registrants so far.
