Hornets AAU Team Stings Competition for First Tourney Title

Newly created travel hoops team takes down competition at Mayhem in March tournament.

There’s a first time for everything. And when it comes to championships, that first time is spectacular.

Made up of players from Long Valley, Mendham, Mt. Olive, Mt. Lakes, Randolph, Florham Park, and Clifton, the newly created Hornets AAU Basketball team competed in its first tournament recently, hosted by Pure Basketball.

Teams came from all over the region, and after just a few practices – the squad was created in January – the Hornets were ready to do some stinging.
