MIT, Georgetown Among Hanover Park College Acceptances

Prominent universities and colleges are among those students from Hanover Park High School were accepted at this year.

Hanover Park High does not have a full available record of which schools students will actually attend, and the number of how many students were accepted at each school was not available, according to the district's director of Curriculum, Maria Carrell.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Georgetown University, Notre Dame University, Swarthmore College and Seton Hall University are all on the list.

Students seem to prefer colleges close to home. Drew University, Fairleigh Dickinson University and Caldwell College are among the acceptances, as are Kean University, three schools of Rutgers University, The College of New Jersey, the New Jersey Institute of Technology and the Stevens Institute of Technology.

Schools from New York and Pennsylvania area also take up a prominent portion of the lists. Penn State, Saint John's University, Saint Joseph University, Gettysbug and Franklin & Marshall Colleges are all included among the number.

The westernmost college acceptance is in Oregon, with other scattered acceptances in the midwest, including two acceptances in Indiana, one at Tulane University in Louisiana and one at the University of Kansas.

Warmer climates in this time zone also attracted students when they looked at colleges. West Virginia, the metropolitan District of Columbia area, South Carolina and Florida also all attracted this year's graduates.
