Realtor Accused of Using Client's Home for 'Sexual Escapades'

Security cameras caught listing agent and colleague having sex in Wayne home about 10 times, according to lawsuit.

A former real estate agent with Coldwell Banker has been accused of using a Wayne home he was hired to sell to have sexual trysts with a colleague, according to a lawsuit filed by the home's owners who now live in Denville.

Robert Lindsay, a Wayne resident, was a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker, which has its corporate headquarters in Madison, when he was hired to list the home of Richard and Sandra Weiner in December 2011, according to NorthJersey.com.

Lindsay instead used the home to have "sexual escapades" with colleague Jeannemarie Phelan, also a Wayne resident, the article said. Security cameras in the home captured about 10 encounters, including the last one that the homeowner witnessed on a live feed, according to the report.

Hal Maxwell, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, told NorthJersey.com the company stopped working with Lindsay and Phelan when the allegations surfaced in January 2012.

The homeowners seek compensatory damages for invasion of privacy, emotional distress, breach of contract, trespassing as well as other civil counts, according to the report.

Clarification: While Coldwell Banker's corporate headquarters is in Madison, the former real estate agents never were affiliated with the local Madison sales office.
