Surveillance video led to the arrest of three individuals who allegedly stole two MacBook laptops from Farleigh Dickinson University, police said.
Francisco Cruceta, 20, of Clifton, and Nicholas Delgado, 18, of Fair Lawn, were each charged with theft of movable property, possession of stolen property and conspiracy to commit theft. Delgado was also charged with receiving stolen property, police said.
The third individual's identity was not released because the person is a minor.
Florham Park Police said Officer Joseph Rega first responded to the campus last Wednesday at 4 a.m. for the stolen Apple computers, valued together at $4,700. The theft was reported to have taken place between midnight and 2:30 a.m. earlier that morning, police said.
Police said Det. Brian Ford found the three individuals who committed the theft after watching the building's surveillance video.
The adults were charged and released pending a future court date, police said.
Police said the laptop computers were recovered and returned to their owners.
