New Police Officers Welcomed to East Hanover

Michael T. Liotta, Jeffrey A. Della Piazza, Matthew A. Cerrato and Steven M. Scherer each came up to take their oaths of office surrounded by their families. At the same meeting, Sgt. James Snow was promoted to lieutenant and Det. John Ambrose was promoted to sergeant.

East Hanover Police said a Whippany woman was hospitalized at St. Barnabas Hospital after she drove her car off of Ridgedale Avenue.

HS District Named NJ's District of Character

The Hanover Park Regional High School District was named the 2013 New Jersey District of character by the state Alliance for Social, Emotional and Character Development.

Prostitution Case Against Ex-FDU Professor Hits Snag

The New Mexico State Supreme Court has denied a request by prosecutors to overturn a lower court decision that a prostitution website allegedly run by an ex-Fairleigh Dickinson University was not illegal, the Associated Press reported.
