Craft Beer Benefit, Regional School Board Meeting on Tap This Week

Veterans Day: East Hanover township offices are closed Monday in honor of the holiday, which was Sunday.

East Hanover BOE: The East Hanover school board is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the East Hanover Board of Education Office, 20 School Ave.

Tsunami Survivors: Students from five Japanese high schools are scheduled to present their experiences with disaster and recovery from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Fairleigh Dickinson University's College at Florham campus.

Hanover Park Regional: The Board of Education is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the board offices at Hanover Park High School. The board's Nov. 1 meeting, at which the board was expected to amend its long-range facilities plan to include planned athletic facilities upgrades and approve submitting the project application to the Department of Education, was canceled after Superstorm Sandy.

East Hanover Township Council: The governing body is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the municipal building. Ordinances appropriating $850,000 to buy an aerial fire truck and establishing a table of organizaiton and ranges of compensation for township employees are among the items on the agenda.

Craft Beer Benefit: The "Save Our Shore" benefit at the Park Avenue Club scheduled for 7  to 10 p.m. Friday features a craft beer tasting with food pairings. Tickets are $60 and all profits are going to the Red Cross to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy, organizers said.
