East Hanover Student in Art Show at The Messy Artist

Jackie Durso was one of the 24 young artists to have work on display.

The Messy Artist of East Hanover held its Art Foundations Intensive Art Show in its studios on Saturday, June 21st.  More than 50 art-lovers showed up to see the 24 advanced young artists’ final projects for the year. East Hanover student Jackie Durso was one of the exhibiting artists.

Art Foundations Intensive is an invite-only full-year course for the serious art student. The AFI students worked for 33 weeks on drawings, paintings, and sculptures, all the while learning about the philosophies behind great art.  They also took a field trip to Grounds for Sculpture in the spring. This show displayed their final projects, as well as a site-specific string art piece created by the students before the show.

The Messy Artist holds fine art classes, summer camps and birthday parties for children aged 18 months to 5th grade.  For more information, please see http://themessyartist.com/, call 973.378.2425or email donna@themessyartist.com
