Michalowski, Zuckerman Move On to General Election

Zuckerman and Michalowski are both newcomers to the Florham Park Council, appointed after Mark Taylor vacated his seat on the council to become mayor after Mayor Scott Eveland and Councilman David Wikstrom resigned earlier this year.

Russ Corrao, a write-in candidate (as was Zuckerman), won 107 votes to Zuckerman's 188 and Michalowski's 515.

Two Democratic write-in candidates, Peter Nicolas and John Upton, garnered 118 and 117 votes, respectively. They will take on Zuckerman and Michalowski in the fall.

There are two seats on the council available in the general election in November.

A total of 11.97 percent, 911 of 7,609 voters, came to the polls Tuesday.
