3 Townhomes Burglarized on Same Day, Cops Say
Homes were accessed through unsecured windows and an unsecured door, according to police.
Police officers found muddy footprints inside and outside three adjacent townhouses on Castle Ridge Drive in East Hanover after all three homes were burglarized on Monday, police said.
East Hanover police responded to Castle Ridge Townehomes off River Road near Route 10 on Monday night and, with the help of the Morris County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit and neighboring police departments, attempted to track the burglar or burglars, but without success, East Hanover Police Sgt. James Snow said Tuesday.
Snow said the timeframe for all three burglaries was between 3:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Two of the homes were accessed through unsecured windows and one of the homes was accessed through an unsecured door, he said. It's not yet known what was taken from the homes.
Snow said the East Hanover Police Detective Bureau and Morris County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Section are investigating, and Florham Park and Livingston police departments assisted with the search.
